Terms and Conditions of Use

1. Subject matter

Perko is a technology platform that connects customers with taxi drivers holding a valid licence. Perko does not itself provide the transport service, which is carried out independently by the drivers.

2. Acceptance

By using the app you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the service.

3. Registration

You warrant that the details you provide are truthful and you are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.

4. Prices and fares

Before you book, the app shows an estimated price with a maximum cap, calculated on the basis of Rome's official municipal taxi meter rates. The final amount, confirmed at the end of the ride, is the binding one under the applicable fare rules.

5. Booking and cancellation

You may cancel a ride before the driver arrives. Late or repeated cancellations may lead to restrictions.

6. Payments

Payments are made using the methods available in the app. The wallet holds credit that can be used only within the platform.

7. Perko Points and rewards

The loyalty programme awards points according to the rules set out in the app. Points have no monetary value, cannot be transferred, and may expire through inactivity as indicated. Perko may change the programme with prior notice.

8. User conduct

You undertake to use the service properly and lawfully, to treat the driver and the vehicle with respect, and not to use the app for unlawful purposes.

Chat messages and reviews must not contain insults, threats, harassment, discrimination, sexual content, scams or spam, or other people's personal data. Messages go through an automatic filter that hides swear words with asterisks. Anyone who sees content of this kind can report it by pressing and holding it and choosing "Report", or by writing to segnalazioni@perkotaxi.it. Perko staff review every report and may remove content that breaks the law or these terms: the author receives a notification with the reasons and the person who reported it receives the outcome. If you disagree with a decision you can write to segnalazioni@perkotaxi.it; you can always go to court.

9. Liability

Perko is not responsible for the conduct of individual drivers or for events outside its control. Responsibility for the transport itself lies with the driver performing it.

10. Account suspension

Perko may suspend or close your account in the event of a breach of these terms or of fraudulent conduct.

11. Intellectual property

The platform's trade marks, content and software belong to Perko and may not be used without authorisation.

12. Changes to the service

Perko may modify or suspend features of the service for technical or development reasons.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. For disputes, the consumer's court of jurisdiction applies where relevant.
